Three-piece design Ball Valves featuring this design are the most easily on-line maintainable in their class. By removing three body connector bolts and loosening the fourth, the body can be swung away using the fourth bolt as the fulcrum, to carry out any installation or maintenance operation on the valve. This feature reduces maintenance downtime to a bare minimum. Single-piece / Two-piece design Single-piece ball valves are high performance valves, which come with a one-piece integrally flanged body, in sizes of up to 200mm reduced bore and 40mm full bore. This design offers the unique advantage of eliminating the possibility of external leakage to the atmosphere through bolted body joints. These environment-friendly and high-integrity valves are preferred in critical applications where the media is expensive, volatile or toxic, and where external leakage or wastage is unacceptable. The two-piece design complements the single-piece design in sizes of 250mm and above reduced bore, and 50mm and above full bore. Gate, Globe & Check Valves - ASME Class 150 to 600
L&T offers a versatile range of cast steel gate, globe and check valves in
bolted bonnet construction. The gate and globe valves are of outside
screw-and-yoke design. The check valves are swing-type. This range is
available with flanged and butt-weld ends and can be supplied with IBR
certification
STEMSingle-piece forged stems are used in gate and
globe valves for superior strength. In a gate
valve, the forged T-head engages with a slot
in the disc. The globe valve disc is fitted to the
stem using a disc nut, which allows the disc to
swivel and align with the seat.
Gate valve discs are of single-piece cast flexible
wedge design. In these torque-seated valves, the
flexible wedge compensates for seat distortion
and eliminates disc-jamming.
Disc
In gate and check valves, seat rings are sealwelded
to the body. This eliminates leakage path
between seat ring and body as well as accidental
loosening due to temperature fluctuations or
vibrations.
Seat
Class 150 gate valves in sizes 3 and above are
offered with oval-shaped body-bonnet joints. As
a standard, 2 gate valves as well as globe and

The tapered plug is held firmly into its tapered seat but can be adjusted so that complete leak tightness is achieved together with smooth valve operation. The tapered seat surfaces of the plug and body are not exposed to the line fluid when the valve is in the open position, so that the effects of corrosion and erosion are confined to the less important parts of the valve. Also since there is a straight flow path through the valve, there is very little resistance to flow and pressure loss is minimized.
All Carbon Steel taper plug valves, sizes 1-1/2 inch and above, have plugs with Flowserve Audco Super LoMu treatment. In this unique process, low friction PTFE is incorporated in the surface structure of the valve plug metal. This gives easier operation and enhanced resistance to taper lock over thousands of operations or many years of service.
The taper plug valve is not a pressure balanced plug valve and therefore is supplied only up to ANSI #300. For higher pressure classes or more critical services the Super-H valve shall be selected.

The portfolio comprises valves in T-pattern and Y-pattern, as well as Cryogenic and Bellows-sealed valves. Forged Steel Gate, Globe and Check Valves is available in a variety of materials and end connections to meet customer requirements.
As a standard, valves in ASME classes up to 800 are supplied with bolted body-bonnet joints; for higher pressure classes, screwed joints are offered.
